نقطئہ سِرِّ وحدت پہ یکتا درود
مرکزِ دَوْرِ کثرت پہ لاکھوں سلام
Niqta-e-Sirre Wahdat pe yakta Durood
Markaze Daure Kasrat pe laakhon Salaam
Millions of peace be upon the orogin of all creations
And the vault to the secrets of Allah’s Oneness
The beloved Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – has said that Allah Almighty stated:
کُنْتُ کَنْزًا مَخْفِیًّا فَاَحْبَبْتُ اَنْ اُعْرَفَ فَخَلَقْتُ الْخَلْقَ
I was a hidden treasure then I wished to be recognized, and created the creation.
It is a proven fact that the first of all creations is none other than the personality of the beloved Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – and Allah Almighty stated the following:
لَوْلَاکَ لَمَا اَظْھَرْتُ الرَّبُوْبِیَّۃَ
If it were not for you, I would not have revealed my Divinity
Keeping these Ahadeeth in view, Imam Rabbaani Mujaddid Alf Thaani – may Allah be pleased with him – writes the following:
Love is the reason for the creation of the entire universe and its first manifestation of the love is the personality of the beloved Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him. Allah Almighty intended to shower His love and that love was directed towards the beloved personality of the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him. It is for this reason that He chose him to propagate His Divinity and made him “Mercy to the universe”, and if it were not for him, the Divinity of Allah would still be hidden.
(Maktoobaat, Letter No. 122)
His beloved Personality is the starting point of the entire creation. Imam Qastalaani writes with reference to Al-Daarul Azeem fi Mawlidil Kareem as follows:
When Allah Almighty created Hazrat Adam – peace be upon him – He said to him, “I have kept you nickname “Abu Muhammad (Father of Muhammad)”.
He asked, “O Allah, what is wisdom of this?”
Allah Almighty replied, “Lift up your head” and when he lifted his head up and saw the Noor of the Prophet Muhammad, he asked Allah Almighty, “O the Creator of the universe, what is this light?”
Allah Almighty replied, “It is the Noor of the great Prophet who will be from your lineage, whose name is in the heavens is Ahmad and on the earth is Muhammad
لَوْلَاہُ مَا خَلَقْتُکَ وَلَا خَلَقْتُ سَمَاءً وَلَا اَرْضًا
If it were not for him, I would not have created you, neither the heaven nor the earth.”
This Hadeeth is supported by the narration of Imam Haakim that when Hazrat Adam – peace be upon him – saw the name of the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – written on the ‘Arsh and asked, “Who is this personality?” Allah Almighty replied, “O Adam, if it were not for him, I would not have created you.”
(Al-Mawaahib al-Ladunniyah with Sharah Zarqaani Vol. 1, p. 44)
Mulla Ali Qaari – may Allah be pleased with him – writes with reference to Daalami, it is narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbaas – may Allah be pleased with them – that the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him has stated:
“Jibreel Ameen came to me and gave me Allah’s message
یَا مُحَمَّدُ، لَوْلَاکَ مَا خَلَقْتُ الْجَنَّۃَ وَلَوْلَاکَ مَاخَلَقْتُ النَّارَ
O Muhammad, if it were not for your sake, I would not have neither created paradise nor hell.”
وَفِیْ رِوَایَۃِ ابْنِ عَسَاکِرٍ لَوْلَاکَ مَا خَلَقْتُ الدُّنْیَا
With the added portion of “Neither would I have created the world” according to the narration of Imam Ibn Asaakir.

Imam Jalaaluddin Suyooti – may Allah be pleased with him – quotes the narration of Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbaas – may Allah be pleased with them – that Allah Almighty revealed Wahy (Divine instruction) upon Sayyiduna ‘Isa – peace be upon him, “O ‘Isa, have faith in Muhammad and command your nation to bring Iman in him whoever happens to be in the time he arrives
فَلَوْلَا مُحَمَّدٌ مَا خَلَقْتُ آدَمَ وَلَا الْجَنَّۃَ وَلَا النَّارَ
For, if it were not for the sake of Muhammad, neither would I have created Adam nor the paradise or hell.”
(Al-Khasaaisul Kubra, p. 7)
Imam Haakim narrated it and certified it as authentic.
Imam Qastalaani quotes the narration of Sayyiduna Ali – may Allah be pleased with him – that Allah Almighty said to his beloved Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him:
مِنْ حُبِّکَ اَسْطَحُ الْبَطَحَا وَ اَمْوَجُ الْمَوْجَ وَاَرْفَعُ السَّمَاءَ وَ اَجْعَلُ الثَّوَابَ وَالْعِقَابَ
For the sake of your love I shall create Bataha (Madinah Munawwarah) and create waves in the oceans, stretch the heavens above and give reward and punishment.
