Commentary of “Mustafa Jaane Rahmat” Salam – Verse No. 6

نور عینِ لطافت پہ الطف درود

زیب و زَینِ نظافت پہ لاکھوں سلام

Noore Aine Lataafat pe Altaf Durood

Zeb-o-Zain-e-Lataafat pe laakhon Salaam

May there be the glorious blessings upon the vibrant embodiment of light

Millions of peace be upon the beauty and glory of the purified one

The Holy Quran has praised the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – from both the perspectives of being a Bashar (human) as well as Noor (light), and every believing man and woman is ought to respect both the aspects of his blessed personality, as it does not suit a believer to believe in one verse of the Quran and disregard the other.  The Holy Quran has reprimands people for having such characteristic as follows:

اَفَتُؤْمِنُوۡنَ بِبَعْضِ الْکِتٰبِ وَتَکْفُرُوۡنَ بِبَعْضٍ

Do you then have faith on some commandments of God and refuse some other?!

Alhamdulillah, we believe in both the aspects of his personality.

His Luminous Personality in Quran:

Quran declares that he is Noor:

قَدْ جَآءَکُمۡ مِّنَ اللہِ نُوۡرٌ وَّکِتٰبٌ مُّبِیۡنٌ ﴿ۙ۱۵﴾

Undoubtedly, there has come to you from Allah a light and a Book, luminous.

The blessed embodiment of light:

Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Thaani – may Allah be pleased with him – writes that it is a fact that the shadow a body casts is lighter than the body itself and hence, his embodiment of Noor is lighter, therefore it eliminates the possibility of any shadow.
