It is mentioned that once in the presence of Hadrat Sayyiduna Imam Ahmed bin Hambal – may Allah be pleased with him – the subject of Hadrat Sayyiuna Ebrahim bin Tahmaan – may Allah be pleased with him – came up. At that moment, the great Imam was resting his back on something and he was also not well. However, when he heard the name of this Saint, he immediately raised himself from the bed. He then mentioned to his Mureeds, “When the pious people are mentioned, it is not proper to rest your back and listen.” (Al Insaab, Sam’aani)
