Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Darda – may Allah be pleased with him – mentions that once a person appeared in front of the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him. His name was Harmilah. This person then pointed to his tongue and said that Imaan was here and then pointed to his heart and said that Nifaaq is here and that he also remembers Allah Almighty very little.

 

The Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – declared, “O Allah! Please bestow upon him a tongue which makes Dhikr and a heart which gives thanks and give him strength to love that which is also loved by me and let there be good in all his actions.” (Maj’mauz Zawaa’id).
