Sayyiduna Ibrahim – peace be upon him – possessed a herd of 5 thousand goats.   The angels were surprised at the fact that he possesses so much wealth, and at the same time, how can he be Allah’s Khaleel as well?  One day Sayyiduna Ibrahim – peace be upon him – went out with the herd of his goats.  When he reached a valley he saw a man, who in fact, was an angel in the human form who was reciting Tasbeeh:

He is the most Glorified, the most Honoured, the Lord of angels and soul.

When Sayyiduna Ibrahim – peace be upon him – heard the Tasbeeh of his Beloved Creator he became overjoyed and yearned to meet Allah Almighty.  He said, “Gentleman, please recite the glory of my Lord and take half my wealth.  The angel repeated the Tasbeeh.  Sayyiduna Ibrahim – peace be upon him – once again asked him to recite the Tasbeeh and offered the remainder half of all his goats and slaves.  When the angel saw this, he explained to him everything.  The angels praised Sayyiduna Ibrahim – peace be upon him – and accepted him as the Khaleel of Allah Almighty just as they had accepted the viceregency of Sayyiduna Adam – peace be upon him.
