In some narrations it is reported that on the Day of Judgement, Allah Almighty will ask the Lahw Mahfuz, “I had given you an Amaanah, (trust which is the Qur’an), where is it?”

It will reply, “O my Lord! I had handed it completely and in full to Israfeel.”

The Allah Almighty will then ask Israfeel, “Where is the Amaanah?”

Israfeel will reply, “O my Lord! I had handed it to Mika’eel.”

Allah Almighty will then question Mika’eel and he will reply that he had handed it to Jibra’eel.

Allah Almighty will then ask, “O Jibra’eel! Where is the Amaanah?”

He will reply, “O my Lord, I had handed it to Your beloved Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.”

Allah Almighty will then command him to call His beloved with respect and reverence. Jibra’eel Ameen will then appear and say to the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – to accompany him.

Allah Almighty will then ask, “O My beloved, did Jibra’eel deliver the Amaanah to you?”

The Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – will affirm this.

Allah Almighty will then ask, “O My beloved, what did you do with this Amaanah?”

The Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – will reply, “O my Lord! I had handed this to my Ummah.”

Allah Almighty will then declare, “Call the Ummah of Muhammad so that I may question them.”

However, at that moment, the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – will implore, “O my Lord! My Ummah is weak and they will not be able to give You an answer. Please give me permission so that I may approach Adam – peace be upon him.”

Allah Almighty will then give him permission to approach Nabi Adam – peace be upon him. When the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – appears in front of Nabi Adam – peace be upon him, he will say, “O Adam! You are Abul Bashar and I am their Prophet and if there is any trouble which comes to this Ummah, both of us will be sad and distraught. Therefore, please agree to accept half the sin of this Ummah and I will accept the other half so that they can be spared from the Hisaab.”

Nabi Adam – peace be upon him – will reply that he is extremely worried about himself and does not have this strength. The Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – will then return to the Arsh and fall into Sajdah. He will weep intensely and implore Allah Almighty and say, “O my Lord! I am not pleading to You for the sake of Bibi Fatimah or Husain but for the sake of my Ummah.”

Allah Almighty, in His Infinite Mercy and Grace, will then declare, “O Muhammad, raise your head and ask and I will bestow upon you, intercede and I will accept the intercession and will (give you so much) of your Ummah that you will be well pleased and even more than this.” (Durratun Naasiheen)
