Hadrat Sayyiduna Nizaamudeen Awliyah – may Allah be pleased with him – has stated that, “On the day in which Nabi ‘Isa – peace be upon him – wanted to bring the dead back to life, he was instructed by Allah Almighty to mention the name of the Holy Prophet – peace be upon him. When he mentioned this blessed name, it was through the Barakah of this blessed name that the dead came to life.” (Afdalul Fawaa’id)
Hadrat Sayyiduna Nizaamudeen Awliyah – may Allah be pleased with him – further explains that, “When Nabi ‘Isa – peace be upon him – was adorned with the mantle of Prophethood while he was in his cradle, at the time Jibra’eel Ameen informed him, ‘Call the Jews and Kaafirs towards Allah so that they may bring Imaan.’ Thereafter, every day, he displayed this miracle, however, these stubborn people refused to listen and all they mentioned was that he had been taught powerful magic.
“They then all gathered and said to him, ‘O ‘Isa! If you can bring the dead back to life, then we will bring faith on you.’ Jibra’eel Ameen then appeared and said to him, ‘Among your miracles is that they should bring their dead to you and through your Du’a, that person will again come back to life.’ He did exactly this and when all of them had gathered he completed two rak’ah of Salaah and placing his head in Sajdah, he made Du’a. Through this, Allah Almighty brought the person back from the dead. Those who were meant to bring Imaan did so and those who were not meant to bring Imaam mentioned the same thing that he had been taught powerful magic.” (Afdalul Fawaa’id)
