The Holy Quran has strongly condemned homosexuality and there is severe punishment for those who indulge in such vices.
Quran:
Allah Almighty states the following in the Glorious Quran:
And sent Lut, when he said to his people, Do you commit that indecency which was not committed by anyone in the world before you ?
You rather approach men lustily instead of women, on the contrary you people have crossed the limit.
And there was no answer of his people but to say only this: ‘Turn them out of your town, these people aspire to be pure.’
Then We delivered him, and his family save his wife, she was of those who remained behind.
And We rained down upon them a rain, then behold! how was the end of the sinners ?
(Al-A’raaf 7, Verse 80-84)
The Almighty states at another occasion in the Holy Quran as follows:
The people of Lut belied the Messengers.
When their compatriot Lut said to them, ‘Do you not fear’.
Undoubtedly, I am a trusted Messenger of Allah for you.
Therefore, fear Allah and obey me.
And I ask you no wage for it, my wage is only upon Him Who is the Lord of the worlds.
Do you commit unnatural offence with males from among the creatures.
And leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? Nay, but you are a people exceeding the limit.
(Al-Shu’ara 26, Verse 160-166)

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah – may Allah be pleased with him – reported that the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – said:
“Allah curses seven amongst His creation from above the seven heavens. But He repeated His curse thrice on one of them, although He had cursed each one of them just once which would suffice them. He then stated:
- Cursed is he who commits an action like that of the nation of Lut!
Cursed is he who commits an action like that of the nation of Lut!
Cursed is he who commits an action like that of the nation of Lut!
- Cursed is he who slaughters for other than Allah
- Cursed is he who has sex with the animals
- Cursed is he who disobeys his parents
- Cursed is he who shares both the woman and her daughter
- Cursed is he who interferes with the boundaries of the land (invades others’ land unjustly)
- Cursed is he who claims a lineage other than that of his family’s (or his master’s).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah – may Allah be pleased with him – reported that the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – said:
Four people go to sleep and wake up bearing the wrath of Allah Almighty in the mornings and at nights (they are constantly in Allah’s Anger). They asked, “Who are they, O Allah’s Messenger?”
He replied:
- Men who imitate women
- Women who imitate men
- He who has sex with the animals
- He who has sex with the man.

Imam Dhahbi writes the following in Al-Kabaair:
It is narrated that when a male has intercourse with another male, the ‘Arsh of the Most Merciful begins to shake due to Allah’s wrath and it appears as though the skies would fall down on the earth. So, the angels hold it by its sides and recite Surah Al-Ikhlas until Allah’s anger calms down.

Sayyiduna Ibn Seereen – may Allah be pleased with him – said:
None of the animals imitate the action of the nation of Lut except the pig and the donkey.
