Soon whoever fears will heed advice.

Tafsir al-Kabeer

Know that people are divided in three categories over the matter of the hereafter:

  1. Those who believe in it with certainty
  2. Those who deem the permissibility of its existence but are neither positively or negatively certain about it
  3. Those who reject its concept altogether and are certain that it will never occur.

The persons mentioned in the first two category will attain the fear of Allah but those belonging to the third category, they will have no fear or conscience.

Tafsir al-Jalalain

He who fears, Allah, exalted be He, will be reminded, by it, as in the verse: So admonish him by the Quran who fears My threat [S50 : V45].
