There is no doubt that to deceive and rob a Muslims is indeed Haraam and a great sin. It is also something which can lead a person into Hell. We will mention a few Ahadith in this regard.
- Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – has stated that, “He who harms a Muslims or is deceitful to a Muslim or is dishonest towards a Muslim, he is someone who is cursed.” (Mishkaat Shareef from Tirmidhi Shareef)
- Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Sarmah – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – has stated that, “He who harms a Muslim, Allah Almighty will certainly make him taste the effect of this harm. He who places a Muslim in difficulty, Allah Almighty will also allow him to face this difficulty.”
- Hadrat Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas’ud – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – has stated that, “He who is deceitful to us, he is not from among us. The deceitful and dishonest are in Hell.” (Kanzul Ummaal).
- Hadrat Sayyiduna Ali – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – has stated that, “He who is deceitful to another Muslim or causes him harm or is dishonest to him, he is not from among us.” (Kanzul Ummaal)
- Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – has stated that, “There are three people who will not enter Jannah, they are the one who is deceitful, the miser and the one who shows off about his favours.” (Kanzul Ummaal)
