It is mentioned that when the famous saint, Hadrat Sayyiduna Bishar Hafi – may Allah be pleased with him, became very ill, the people around him suggested that his urine be given to a specialist so that the he could make out what sickness the person was suffering from and also be able to diagnose proper medication.

When they mentioned this to Hadrat Sayyiduna Bishar Hafi – may Allah be pleased with him – he refused to allow this and said that His Creator was fully aware of his state and he did not need any physician.

However, when people began to insist, he then asked his wife to give them a bottle of his urine to be tested. This bottle of urine was then given to a Christian doctor who lived nearby. When the doctor saw this urine, he was extremely shocked. He then said to the people, if this urine belonged to a Christian, then that person is surely a great monk and if this urine belongs to a Muslim, it can only be the urine of Bishar Haafi. In fact, his internal organs have been split into pieces because of his immense fear for Allah.”

When the people who had brought this bottle revealed to him that this was indeed the urine of Hadrat Sayyiduna Bishar Hafi – may Allah be pleased with him – this Christian doctor immediately accepted Islam.

When the people returned to the great Saint to inform him what had happened, without them saying anything, he informed them, “That doctor who you people went to visit has become a Muslim.”

When they asked him how he had come to know of this, he replied that when they left, a voice from the heaven informed him that the doctor would be become a Muslim by merely looking at the urine of this great Saint. Hadrat Sayyiduna Bishar Hafi – may Allah be pleased with him-  passed away in 227 A.H.

If this is the state of the urine of a Saint, imagine when people used to see their blessed faces which was full of Nur? This is the reason that the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – has stated that, “The ‘Ulama of my Ummah are like the Prophets of the Bani Israeel.”
