Hadrat Sayyiduna Ammar bin Raahib – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates:

A pious lady, Sayyidah Miskeenah – may Allah be be pleased with her, used to always make sure that she attended the Dhikr program (in her local area). After she had passed away, I saw her in a dream and asked her, her condition. She replied, “O Ammar! I am no longer Miskeenah, (someone who is very poor and destitute). Now, I am extremely well off and comfortable. All needs and destitution has disappeared.”

I then asked her the reason for this. She replied, “You are asking a person who have been given immense reward in Jannah and she is able to go wherever she wishes.”

Hadrat Sayyiduna Ammar – may Allah be pleased with him – explains that this female used to take part in the Dhikr under the leadership of Hadrat Sayyiduna Esa bin Zazaan – may Allah be pleased with him. I then asked her about this great Saint and she replied, “He was dressed in Jannati clothes and surrounded by Jannati servants. He is in a very high state in Jannah and is always surrounded by Jannati reward and servants. He was also informed to continue reading and that from now on, he had received respite from fasting.”

The narrator also mentions that, “Hadrat Sayyiduna Esa bin Zazaan – may Allah be pleased with him – kept so much of fast until his final moment in this world, that his back actually became bent and even the sound of his voice became inaudible. It was through this extreme penitence that he was pardoned by Allah Almighty.” (Uyunul Hikaayah)

This also proves that the blessed servants of Allah Almighty, besides performing the Fard Ibadah, they also continued the performance of the Nawaafil Ibadah. In fact, the Muslim should also strive to make as much Nafil Ibadah as possible because through this, he would achieve an immense status in this world and the next.
