Download PDF: [S] Non-Muslims are not our Brothers (Islamic story)
It is mentioned that once, a group of people from the Quraish came to the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – and said to him, “If you follow our religion, we will follow your religion. For one year, you must pray to our gods and for one year we will pray to your Lord.”
When the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – heard these words, he replied, “I seek protection in this, I can never associate partners with Allah.”
When they heard this reply, they said, “If you cannot worship our gods then at least place your hands on them. We will then accept you and will worship your Lord.”
It is as this moment, that Surah Kaafirun was revealed. The Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – then entered the Haram Shareef and read out this Surah to the disbelievers. Obviously, they felt that they had no hope in the Holy Prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – accepting their invitation and with the result they began to persecute the Muslims. (Khazaa’inul Irfaan)
From this Surah, it clearly proves that there can never be unity between Muslims and non-Muslims. As for those who feel free in joining the disbelievers and feel free sitting and eating with them (Astaghfirullah), they should take a lesson from this Surah. How can they say that they are following the right path when this Surah is clearly found in the Qur’an. At the same time, we also know that the Jews and Christians are the real Mushriqs of this age because they worship the cross and other types of heretical objects.
The actual Ahle Kitaab were only found in the early part of Islam and these were the people who actually accepted Islam. It was not the latter day Christians who worship a satanic symbol like the Trinity.
When people invite others to Islam and use the Qur’anic verse to say that we shall agree to worship One Supreme Creator, they should firstly ask the non-Muslims what he is actually worshipping. That should be the first premise. Knowing what these Kaafirs worship in the present day should make you even more intelligent. But, there are stupid and ignorant people who seem to feel no distaste in calling non-Muslims their “brothers”. Well, all we can say to them is, “We thank Allah Allah that you will be with your brethren in faith on the Day of Judgement.” You should be the last people to ask for Jannah when you insult the very Divine Dignity of Allah Almighty every moment you call these non-Muslims and non-Sunnis your brethren in faith.
