It is reported that one day, Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – made Du’a, “O Allah! Please allow me to see one of Your special friends.” A Voice told him, “O Moosa! Climb on this mountain and descend into the valley you will see whom you wish to see.”

 

Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – did as he was told. As he entered the valley, he found a lush green area. There was also a small house in this area. When Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – entered this house, he found an extremely old person who was not nothing but flesh and bones sitting on one corner. When Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – saw this person, he greeted him, “Salaam upon the friend of Allah.”

 

This person replied, “Salaam upon Kaleemullah!”

 

Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – asked him how he had recognized him and the person replied, “I am such a person in such a state where no one comes to visit me. For a few nights I have pleaded to Allah Almighty to be able to meet you. It seems that my Du’a has been accepted since you are now present in front of me.”

 

Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – then asked him, “Who serves you and takes care of you and who serves food to you?”

 

The person replied, “I have a son who goes every day to the valley and finds a few items for me to eat. It is through these items that I am able to make Sehri and Iftaar as well.”

 

Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – then requested that he meet this young man.

 

The old person then described to Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – where he would be able to meet the young man. As Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – walked on this road, he noticed an extremely handsome young man in front of him whose entire appearance looked full of Nur. In fact, his face looked like a glowing piece of the moon. Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – was also struck by the beauty of this young man.

 

While he was looking at this young man, suddenly wild animal appeared from nowhere and attacked this young man. It tore this young man into shreds. When Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – saw this, he declared in the Divine Court of Allah, “O Allah! In the house, there is friend of Yours who lives in this helpless state and besides this young man, there is no one else who serves him, what was the wisdom of this young man been killed.”

 

A message was given to Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him, “O Moosa! Return to his father and notice his patience as well.”

 

When Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – brought this information to the boy’s father, he began to smile and looked up at the sky in extreme happiness. He declared, “O my Creator! No doubt, You had blessed me with this young man and I know that after me, he will continued to survive, however, since he has been taken away, please call me towards You while I am in Sajdah.”

 

The old man then went into Sajdah. When Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – shook him, he had already passed away. Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – then asked, “O Allah! Will the bodies of both of these people remain like this?”

However, suddenly Jibra’eel Ameen – peace be upon him – appeared and performed the Ghusal of both of them and also had them buried. Nabi Moosa – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – also returned to his village. (Nawaadir Al Qalyubi)
