It is mentioned that when the Muslims established their camp on the outskirts of Alexandria, then the leader of this city sent a special message to the Muslims. After having a deep conversation with the commander of the Muslims, namely Hadrat Sayyiduna Amar bin Al Aas – may Allah be pleased with him.

 

He mentioned in this message, “There is no doubt that the message of your Prophet is indeed the truth. We were also people that used to receive Prophets. We used to also follow the teachings of these Prophets. However, later on, such Kings appeared in front of us who completely ignored the message of these Prophets and considered following their animal desires as their end all and be all in life. With the result, from the highest state of respect and status, we descended to the lowest state of ignominy. Other nations also overtook us. If you are a nation that sincerely accepts the message of your Prophet, there will be no nation that will be able to stand in front of your power. You will always be blessed with success and victory. Whoever will wish to fight against you, their throne will be placed near your feet in disgrace and defeat. However, if you also ignore the teachings of your Prophet and refuse to practise on these teachings and became people who follow their Nafs and worship their carnal desires, there will cease to be any barriers between us and at that moment, the Muslims will not be more than us in strength and numbers”.

 

When the eminent companion read this message, he mentioned that he had not met a non-Muslim who had more common sense and intelligence.

This is clearly seen in the present age. There may be millions of Muslims in the world, but they have allowed themselves to be fragmented and broken up into different nations and groups. There was a time in history that a Muslim could travel from one part of the Muslim world to the other without a passport.

 

But, today, a so-called Muslim country would allow non-Muslims to live freely in their cities (as the Saudis and others do) while they will make sure that they pass a law which demands that Muslims wishing to visit Mecca Shareef or Madina Shareef pay a high tax just for visiting these blessed cities. This is the reason that when non-Muslims decide to attack Muslim minorities in their cities, they do so with the firm conviction that so-called Muslim governments are too spineless to do anything.

 

There was a time in Islam when a young man travelled all the way with his small band of warriors from Arabia to Sindh in Pakistan to save a single Muslim family (as was the case with the Mohammed bin Qasim in the time of Hujjaj). Today, so-called Muslim governments have enough weapons to destroy the whole country a hundred times over, but will stand as spineless fools looking at Muslims being slaughtered all around them. If you ask, they will say they do not wish to interfere in the politics of another country. In other words, the killing of innocent Muslims in their opinion is “interfering in politics!”

 

Since no one will be able to escape from death and the Day of Judgement, at least the innocent Muslims will have the opportunity of spitting on the faces of these spineless leaders before they are thrown into the Fire of Hell. If you look at the wealth that is possessed by these spineless leaders, you would think that there should be no poor Muslims on earth but they would rather spend it on fancy cars, fancy palaces, night clubs and buildings, while their women are running around blackening their faces in the night. Such is the disgrace they experience in this world and what is to come to them in the Hereafter is still awaiting them.
