She was the wife of Hazrat Nooh – peace be upon him. She was blessed with being married to Hazrat Nooh – peace be upon him – and she lived in his company for years but her ill-fate is something one may take as an example, that she was not blessed with Imaan and died without Imaan, and then went to hell due to having enmity and disrespect towards Hazrat Nooh – peace be upon him.
She often spread false propagandas about Hazrat Nooh – peace be upon him – among the people that, Hazrat Nooh – peace be upon him – was an insane person, so none should listen to him.
She was Hazrat Loot’s – peace be upon him – wife. She was also blessed with being married to a great Nabi and lived with him for years but she was so unfortunate that she never had complete faith in her heart but remained a hypocrite all her life and hid her hypocrisy.
When the punishment descended on the nation of Loot and Hazrat Loot – peace be upon him – took the people of his house and the believers away from the area, Waailah also came along. He had told the people not to look back or else, they will also be caught by the punishment. None of the people that were with him looked back and all were protected from the punishment but since, Waailah was a hypocrite, she went against his instructions and looked back at the area and screamed as she saw the city being destroyed, “Oh my people!”. Soon after having said this, a stone came and hit her and she was also perished and sent to hell.
Hazrat Aasiyah Bint Mazaahim – may Allah be pleased with her – was Pharaoh’s wife. Pharaoh was the worst enemy of Hazrat Moosa – peace be upon him – but when Hazrat Aasiyah – may Allah be pleased with her – saw the magicians being defeated against Hazrat Moosa – peace be upon him – the light of Imaan illuminated her heart and she embraced Imaan. When Pharaoh came to find out he tortured her in every possible way and beat her to no limits. He then tied both her hands and legs at all four corners to the nails, placed a big stone on her chest and left her in the scorching heat of the sun without any food or water.
In this state, she sought Allah’s refuge from his oppression and asked Du’a for Jannah and passed away in this state.
Hazrat Ibn Kaisaan has stated, “She was raised into heaven while she was still alive.”
Hazrat Maryam Bint ‘Imraan – may Allah be pleased with her – was the mother of Hazrat ‘Isa – peace be upon him. Hence, Hazrat ‘Isa – peace be upon him – was born from her without a father therefore her nation hurt her feelings by making blasphemous comments against her but by making Sabr, she reached such high status that Allah Almighty mentioned her praise in the Holy Quran. Allah Almighty mentioned all the four women in Surah Tahreem as follows:
Allah sets forth the example of the infidels, the wife of Nuh and the wife of Lut. They were under marriage of Our two near ones bondmen, then they defrauded them. So they availed them nothing against Allah and it was said to them, enter you both into the Fire with those who enter.
And Allah sets forth the example of muslims, the wife of Firawn. When she said, ‘O my Lord! Build a house for me in the Paradise with You and deliver me from Firawn and his work and deliver me from the people unjust.
And Maryam the daughter of Imran who preserved her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our spirit and she confirmed the words of her Lord and His Books and became of obedients.
(Al-Tahreem 66, Verse 10-12)
Both Waahela and Waailah, although being the wives of great Prophets, they were still sent to hell and the wife of a kaafir; like Pharaoh, his wife Hazrat Aasiyah – may Allah be pleased with her – was sent to paradise due to having the treasure of perfect Imaan in her heart. She embraced Imaan after being exposed to the truth in such manner that she gave no importance to his kingdom and all the comfort she had and despite being tortured in so many different ways, she stood firm on her Imaan. Undoubtedly, these incidents are exemplary!
