It is mentioned that once Haaritha bin Abu Awfah had a neighbour who was a Christian. Haaritha visited his neighbour and said to him, “Please accept Islam. I will give you a guarantee of Jannah. Certainly, it is a place which has no match. In it, there are also various types of maidens and certain types of mansion.”

 

In reply, the Christian replied, “I want something better than this.”

 

Haaritha said to him, “Accept Islam, I will guarantee you that you will be able to see Allah Almighty in Jannah.”

 

The Christian then said to him “I will now certainly bring faith on Islam because there can be nothing better than this.”

 

He then accepted Islam and passed away. A few days later, Haaritha saw this person in a dream and he also saw that he was riding in Jannah. When Haaritha asked him whether he was a certain person. He replied that yes indeed, he was that person. Haaritha then asked him what had happened to him and he replied, “When my soul was taken away, it was taken to the Divine Arsh. Almighty Allah then declared, “You brought Imaan because you had the wish to see Me, therefore for you there is Divine Pleasure and existence.” Haaritha then made Du’a in the Divine Court of the Almighty Allah for His Divine Mercy on this person.
