The famous and eminent scholar, Hadrat Shaikh Abu Bakr Kataani – may Allah be pleased with him – mentions that, “I was informed by Hadrat Khidr that, ‘I was once in the Masjid in the city of Sana and Muhaddith Abdur Razzaq was teaching Ahadith. There were also countless people who were listening to the lesson. There was also a young man who was sitting on one side of the Masjid in Muraaqibah. I approached the young man and said to him, ‘Everyone is listening to the lesson of Muhaddith Abdur Razzaq and yet you are sitting on one corner with your head bowed down. You should also go and listen to the Hadith lesson.’

 

When he heard my statement, he informed me, ‘I am listening to the Divine Words of Ar Razzaq and you are telling me to listen to the servant of Ar Razzaq.’ I then asked him a question as a test, ‘If you are truthful in what you are saying, tell me, who am I?’

 

Without the slightest hesitation, he replied, ‘You are Khidr.’ (Tafseer Ruhul Bayan, 4/262)

This proves the immense spiritual vision of the great Awliya. In fact, nothing is hidden from their vision.
