Hadrat Sayyiduna Maqaatil – may Allah be pleased with him – narrates that behind the cave of Kahaf there is a piece of land which shines like silver and this piece of land is also very soft. In fact, the expansiveness of this piece of this land is like the seven earths. In fact, there are so many Angels gathered at this one place that even if a little needle was dropped, it would actually land on their heads and not the floor. Each one of these angels has a flag in his hand on which is written the complete Kalimah. These angels gather every night at this place in the month of Rajab. They gather to make Du’a for the Ummah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.

 

The say, “O Allah Almighty! Please have Mercy on the Ummah of Muhammad – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – and do not bestow punishment upon the Ummah of Muhammad Mohammed – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.”

 

They continue to weep and display immense humility and Allah Almighty then asks, “What is it that your people wish for?”

 

The reply, “We wish that You pardon the Ummah of Muhammad Mohammed – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.” Allah Almighty then declares, “Without doubt, I have pardoned them.”
