Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – once ordered by Allah Almighty to bury one of His friends. Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – found this person’s body which was left on one side and people were also insulting this person. However, as per the Divine Command, Nabi Moosa – peace be upon him – performed his Ghusal and burial and also mentioned to Allah Almighty of the bad words that people spoke about this person.

 

Allah Almighty declared, “O Moosa! What people are saying is what they know about him. however, I am aware of five words he mentioned before he could die and because of this, I have pardoned him. They were:

 

  1. O Allah Almighty, You are aware that I love Your pious servants even though I am not pious.
  2. O Allah Almighty! You are aware that I hate those who are sinful and Faasiqs, even though I myself am a Faasiq.
  3. O Allah Almighty! If I knew that by me entering Jannah, it would decrease Your Divine Majesty, then I will never ask for Jannah.
  4. O Allah Almighty! If I was aware that by me entering Hell it would increase Your Divine Majesty, then I would have never asked for protection against the Fire of Hell.
  5. O Allah Almighty! If You do not grace me with Mercy, who else will grace me with mercy?

 

O Moosa! It is through these words which were his final words, that I have pardoned him and included him among My friends.”
