ثُمَّ کَانَ مِنَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ تَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَ تَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَۃِ ﴿ؕ۱۷﴾

And moreover to be of those who accepted faith, and who urged patience to one another and who urged graciousness to one another.

Tafsir al-Jalalain                                                                                                                        تفسیر الجلالین                                                

{ثُمَّ كَانَ} عَطْف عَلَى اِقْتَحَمَ وَثُمَّ لِلتَّرْتِيبِ الذِّكْرِيّ وَالْمَعْنَى كَانَ وَقْت الِاقْتِحَام {مِنْ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَوَاصَوْا} أَوْصَى بَعْضهمْ بَعْضًا {بِالصَّبْرِ} عَلَى الطَّاعَة وَعَنْ الْمَعْصِيَة {وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ} الرَّحْمَة عَلَى الخلق

And moreover to be of those who accepted faith, and who urged patience to one another i.e. one of those who believe and enjoin one another to steadfastness, in [pursuing] obedience and in refraining from disobedience, and who urged graciousness to one another i.e. and enjoin one another to compassion towards the creation.
