وَ ہَدَیۡنٰہُ النَّجْدَیۡنِ ﴿ۚ۱۰﴾

And did We not guide him to the two elevated things?

Tafsir al-Baghawi                                                     تفسیر البغوی                            

قَالَ أَكْثَرُ الْمُفَسِّرِينَ: طَرِيقُ الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ، وَالْحَقِّ وَالْبَاطِلِ، وَالْهُدَى وَالضَّلَالَةِ

Majority of Exegetists said:  It refers to the path of good and evil; truth and falsehood; guidance and misguidance.

Tafsir al-Kabeer                                                                                                             التفسیر الکبیر                        

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا هُمَا النَّجْدَانِ، نَجْدُ الْخَيْرِ وَنَجْدُ الشَّرِّ، وَلَا يَكُونُ نَجْدُ الشَّرِّ، أَحَبَّ إِلَى أَحَدِكُمْ مَنْ نَجْدِ الْخَيْرِ

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah – may Allah be pleased with him – reported that the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – has stated:  It is the two elevated things; the good and the evil, and the evil will not be preferable to you over the good.

Tafsir al-Jalalain                                                                                                                        تفسیر الجلالین                                                

{وَهَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ} بَيَّنَّا لَهُ طَرِيق الْخَيْر وَالشَّرّ

i.e. We made the paths of good and evil clear for him.
