Tafsir al-Qurtubi
i.e. when you perform Salah, increase in (Tasbeeh and Istighfar).

Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas – may Allah be pleased with them – is reported to have said, “It means i.e. praise Allah for what the victory He has granted you.”

i.e. Seek Allah’s forgiveness.

The Imams have reported (with Bukhari’s wording) from Sayyidah Ayesha – may Allah be pleased with them – to have said: Whenever the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – performed Salah after the revelation of Surah Al-Nasr he would recited, “All praise and glory belong to You, our Lord. O Allah, forgive me.”

It is also reported from her that the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – used to excessively recite in his Ruku’s and Sajdahs, “All praise and glory belong to You, our Lord. O Allah, forgive me.”

It is mentioned in Bukhari and other collections from Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas – may Allah be pleased with them: Sayyiduna Umar – may Allah be pleased with him – used to invite me along with the old men who had fought in the Badr battle. Some of them said, “Why do you allow this young man to enter with us, while we have sons of his own age?” Sayyiduna Umar – may Allah be pleased with him – said, “You know who this person is?!” One day (Sayyiduna) Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) called them and called me along with them, I thought he called me on that day to show them something about me. Sayyiduna Umar – may Allah be pleased with him – asked them, “What do you say about Surah Al-Nasr?” Some of them replied, “The Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – is commanded to praise Allah and repent to Him when he is helped and granted victory.” Sayyiduna Umar – may Allah be pleased with him – then said to me, “What do you say Ibn ‘Abbas?” I said, “It is nothing like that but this Verse indicates approaching of the death of Allah’s Messenger – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – of which Allah informed him. When comes the help of Allah and the Conquest, i.e. the Conquest of Makkah, that will be the sign of your death then praising Allah, glorify Him and beg for His forgiveness. Undoubtedly, He is ever Accepting of repentance.”

Tafsir al-Jalalain

i.e. continuously praising Him and seek forgiveness from Him; for verily He is ever ready to accept repentance. The Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – would frequently repeat the words of ‘Glory and praise be to Allah’ and ‘I seek forgiveness from Allah and I repent to Him’ after this Surah had been revealed. He realized that his end was near. The victory over Mekkah was in Ramadan of year 8 A.H. and the Holy Prophet – may Allah send peace and blessings upon him – passed away in Rabi al-Awwal of the year 10 A.H.
