سَیَصْلٰی نَارًا ذَاتَ لَہَبٍ ﴿۳﴾ۚۙ

He will soon enter the blazing fire.

 

Tafsir al-Kabeer                                                                                                 التفسیر الکبیر

هَذِهِ الْآيَاتُ تَضَمَّنَتِ الْإِخْبَارَ عَنِ الْغَيْبِ مِنْ ثَلَاثَةِ أَوْجُهٍ:

أَحَدُهَا: الْإِخْبَارُ عَنْهُ بِالتَّبَابِ وَالْخَسَارِ، وَقَدْ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ

وَثَانِيهَا: الْإِخْبَارُ عَنْهُ بِعَدَمِ الِانْتِفَاعِ بِمَالِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ، وَقَدْ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ.

وَثَالِثُهَا: الْإِخْبَارُ بِأَنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، وَقَدْ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهُ مَاتَ عَلَى الْكُفْرِ.

 

These verses included news about the unseen of three facets:

  1. News about his destruction and loss
  2. The news about him not benefiting from his money and his son, thus, the same happened
  3. The news that he is one of the people of hell, which he was, because he died on infidelity.

Tafsir al-Jalalain                                                                                                                        تفسیر الجلالین

أَيْ تُلَهَّب وَتُوقَد فَهِيَ مَآل تَكْنِيَته لِتَلَهُّبِ وَجْهه إِشْرَاقًا وَحُمْرَة

i.e. a fire that is ablaze and ignited is the source of his nickname, [which was given to him] on account of his reddish face.
