مَلِکِ النَّاسِ ۙ﴿۲﴾

The King of all mankind.

 

Tafsir al-Tabari                                                             تفسیر الطبری

وَهُوَ مَلِكُ جَمِيعِ الْخَلْقِ: إِنْسِهِمْ وَجِنِّهِمْ، وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ، إِعْلَامًا مِنْهُ بِذَلِكَ مَنْ كَانَ يُعَظِّمُ النَّاسَ

He is the King of entire creation; the humans, the jinns and everything else thereof.  It is to signify that the most revered creation to Allah is the humans.

Tafsir al-Qurtubi                                                                                                                         تفسیر القرطبی

لِأَنَّ فِي النَّاسِ مُلُوكًا يَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ مَلِكُهُمْ.

Because although there are kings amongst people, but He states that He is their Ultimate King.

Tafsir al-Nasafi                                                                                                                                                      تفسیر النسفی

{مَلِكِ الناس} مالكهم ومدبر أمورهم

King of all mankind i.e. their Master and the One who keeps their affairs in order.

Tafsir Rooh al-Bayaan                                                                                              تفسیر روح البیان

ان تربيته تعالى إياهم ليست بطريق تربية سائر الملاك لما تحت أيديهم من مماليكهم بل بطريق الملك الكامل والتصرف الشامل والسلطان القاهر

Indeed, His nurturing Allah is not like that of the kings, but He is the Perfect King with complete control and He is the All-Powerful Ruler.
